高中英语作文:The Unsupported News

With the development of Internet, we can get to know the world better. Whatever happens around the world, we can scan the instant news and share our opinions with other people. But the advantage of Internet is its weakness at the same time. As people can give their opinions, some people are easily to believe in the ment, especially the news that is not verified. As the result, the innocent people will be attacked by the violence of language. For example, a girl in the campus mit suicide and a lot of people believed that her roommates bullied her and the girls just to get rid of it. The roommates were scared to go out of the house for some time and people condemned them, but the police later announced that it was the pressure from family made the girl kill herself. We’d better figure out the truth before we make judgement.

Once, when I was a teenager, my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally, there was only one family between us and the ticket counter.

This family made a big impression on me. There were eight children, all probably under the age of 12. You could tell they didn't have a lot of money.

Their clothes were not expensive, but they were clean. The children were well-behaved, all of them standing in line, two-by-two behind their parents, holding hands. They were excitedly jabbering about the clowns, elephants, and other acts they would see that night.

One could sense they had never been to the circus before. It promised to be a highlight of their young lives. The father and mother were at the head of the pack, standing proud as could be.

The mother was holding her hu *** and's hand, looking up at him as if to say, You're my knight in shining armor.

He was *** iling and basking in pride, looking back at her as if to reply, You got that right.

The ticket lady asked the father how many tickets he wanted. He proudly responded, Please let me buy eight children's tickets and two *** tickets so I can take my family to the circus.

The ticket lady quoted the price. The man's wife let go of his hand, her head dropped, and his lip began to quiver. The father leaned a little closer and asked, How much did you say?

The ticket lady again quoted the price. The man didn't have enough money.

How was he supposed to turn and tell his eight kids that he didnt have enough money to take them to the circus? Seeing what was going on, my dad put his hand in his pocket, pulled out a $20 bill and dropped it on the ground. ***We were not wealthy in any sense of the word!***

Today is day of resurrection day of Easter. With two girl friends, XJ, XY, I feasted my eyes on the beauty of a lonely dell in the south of Edinburgh- Duddingston in such an early spring day.

Walking from Nicolson street past Pollock hall, we found ourselves on a road beside the hills. The nameless *** all yellow flowers are noisily blooming all the way on the hills. The morning sun shined on us and a dog who was so old that he toddled behind his mistress gasping while walking. We strolled along and along for half an hour and reached the Duddingston kirk.

It is a *** all and very old kirk built in 12 century, standing beside the loch Duddingston, sleeping on the lap of the hills. Seen from afar, several grey solemn fountain buildings with sharp spirals on four corners are acpanied by the surrounding grey trees. A wall winded its way over the lake, which is rippling by the caressing breeze reflecting the light and shadow alternatively. Several snow swans soared over it and others roamed around. All around is serene, even more with a few warbles of birds, several joyful barks echoing in the crispy morning air.

My hometown is in the southeast of Shandong, a seaside village.

It is a *** all village. There are about 600 people. Most of them are peasants. They mainly plant wheat, corn and cotton. Some of them often go fishing in the sea.

Great changes have taken place in the past ten years. Now the peasants here use tractors in their work. A lot of new buildings have appeared. Many families own fridges and some even have air-conditioners. In the evening they watch TV as the people in cities do.

There is a primary school in the village. Most of the peasants children are studying in college now.

I love my home town. I believe she will bee more and more beautiful in the future.

《一件新鲜事》英语作文

One day, something truly unexpected and fresh happened to me when I went to the park with my mother.

Firstly, we had an enjoyable morning strolling through the lush greenery and vibrant flowers of the park. The sun was shining brightly, and the birds were singing melodiously, creating a perfect backdrop for our little outing. After spending some quality time together, we decided to have lunch right there in the park, embracing the beauty of nature while enjoying our meal.

Secondly, my mother thoughtfully bought some milk and bread for our picnic. Before we could dive into our lunch, she reminded me of the importance of hygiene and instructed me to wash my hands. I happily obliged and returned to find my mother setting up our little lunch spot.

However, to our astonishment, when we came back, our bread was mysteriously missing! We looked around, hoping it was just a mistake, but it seemed that someone had indeed taken it. We were both surprised and a bit angry, wondering who would do such a thing.

Next, I had an idea. I thought that if someone had taken the bread, they might come back for the milk as well. Determined to catch the culprit, my mother and I decided to hide behind a nearby tree and wait. We sat there patiently for an hour, our stomachs growling in hunger, but no one showed up.

Finally, just when we were about to give up and head home to eat something else, I spotted something under the chair where we had been sitting. I quickly approached and discovered, with a mix of relief and laughter, that our bread had been there the whole time! It had apparently fallen off the table and been hidden from our view by the chair.

This little incident was indeed a fresh and unexpected twist in our otherwise ordinary day. It taught us a valuable lesson about not jumping to conclusions and reminded us to look closer before assuming the worst. And so, with our bread safely retrieved and our spirits lifted, we continued to enjoy our picnic in the park, cherishing the simple joys of life.
