高中英语作文范文一:The Real Champion(真正的冠军)
As the Asian Game is going on, we can see so many exciting games these days, there are so many champions coming out every day, we are happy for them, because they are working so hard and they deserve it.
But still some champions are checked out to take the drugs, they get the championship with the help of the drugs, it is so shameful of them, they are not the real champions.
To be a champion is not easy, the athletes must be working hard for a long time, most of them spend day and night to get trained, they have to leave their parents for a long time, they can see their parents when the festival comes.
To be the champion is such a great honor, the one who gets the championship without the fair competition should be condemned, he does not respect his rivals, it is so shame on him.
Taking the drugs is not the right act, it is unfair to those real working hard rivals, every athlete should take the right attitude about the match.
The one who loses in a fair way also deserves peoples respect.
随着亚运会的进行,我们这些天都能看到很多令人兴奋的比赛,每天都产生很多冠军,我们为他们感到高兴,因为他们那么的艰辛地锻炼,冠军值得拥有。
Today, our elementary school is hosting a sports day; all parents and friends are welcome to attend. Various classes within the school are competing in several athletic events, including relay races, distance races, ball games, parades, among others. Attendees have been provided with small chairs to sit on, arrayed along one side of the school field. Refreshments are being served, and a concession stand is available for those desiring to purchase ice cream or candy. Cheers and applause fill the air after each competition. Individual winners are recognized, yet the sense of camaraderie is palpable, as everyone leaves feeling elated.
Globally, millions engage in diverse sports activities. Sports stand as perhaps the most universally enjoyed form of leisure, accessible to the vast majority.
Some seem to believe that sports and games are trivial, mere distractions during non-working hours. However, sports and games can be incredibly beneficial, particularly for those who primarily intellectually labor. They should not be trivialized as mere entertainment.
Sports and games contribute to physical development, help prevent excessive weight gain, and promote overall health. They also provide invaluable practice in coordinating eyes, brain, and muscles. In table tennis, for instance, the eyes track the ball's approach, assess its speed and direction, relaying this information to the brain. The brain decides on the action and communicates the instructions to the respective arm and leg muscles to execute the return with precision. This synchronized reaction must occur at high speed, and proficiency is a result of extensive practice.
Moreover, sports and games are instrumental in character development. While children learn about virtues such as selflessness, courage, and discipline in class, these lessons resonate deeper when experienced through practice. As the majority of a student's time is committed to academic pursuits, extracurricular activities, like sports, assume significant importance. If students learn to wholeheartedly contribute to their team's success rather than personal glory on the field, they are likely to extend this selfless spirit to benefit society and their country in the future.
Mastering English is no easy task for a Chinese individual. Throughout my seven-year journey as an English learner, I have encountered numerous challenges but managed to make significant progress.
Spelling and vocabulary were the initial hurdles I faced. I devised my own strategies to tackle them. Instead of mindlessly copying new words to memorize them, I associated them with their sounds. I realized that once I could pronounce a word, I could write it down. For understanding, I did not resort to reciting translations but used words in sentences to grasp their meaning. Frequent usage eventually rendered spelling and meaning effortless. After all, the purpose of learning English is to utilize it.
Grammar and idioms posed additional difficulties. However, I overcame them too. I did not religiously study grammar textbooks but invested time reading articles by native speakers or English experts. This approach helped me develop an "English sense." I began to discern which sentences represented "good English" and which did not.
Finally, I want to emphasize that perseverance is key to overcoming these challenges. Devoting at least an hour daily to English has been instrumental in my progress.
People worldwide enjoy sports. They contribute to health and happiness, extension of life.
Sports adapt to the changing seasons. Winter and summer bring different activities. Swimming is refreshing in warm weather, while skating is enjoyable in winter.
Certain sports captivate people globally. Football has gained worldwide popularity, as has swimming among nations bordering seas or with abundant rivers. Some sports, such as running or jumping, have ancient roots. Kung Fu, for example, is deeply rooted in Chinese history. However, basketball and volleyball are relatively new. People continually innovate, with water skiing being one of the latest additions to the sporting family.
Last month, our school held a sports event. Despite the weather not being ideal, students were thrilled, and the entire school buzzed with excitement. I was particularly enthusiastic because I participated in the high jump. I wasn't aiming for a prize; I simply wanted to enjoy the event since I wasn't particularly athletic. Arriving at the field with a friend, I was both excited and nervous. Seeing the initial height, my heart raced. The bar was incredibly high—higher than our desks. I couldn't believe my eyes. It seemed insurmountable. I was scared but had come this far, and I had to give it a try. The competition started, and the first participant cleared the height with ease, leaving me stunned. The second and third athletes performed well, nearly clearing the bar... It was my turn. I took a deep breath and sprinted towards the pole. As I approached, I began my jump. Oh no! My right foot struck the pole. "I've failed," I thought. Then, another misfortune struck. I failed to maintain my balance and tumbled, wounding my back severely. In agony, I felt as if my back was broken. The audience, unaware of my pain, merely laughed at my clumsy fall. After a brief respite, I stood up, pushed away the pain, and left the field with a red face. My friend approached, asking if I was okay. Too wounded and in pain to respond, I simply shook my head. I felt sadness, not only because of my injury but also because I couldn't continue in the event. I had to watch from the sidelines, rooting for my classmates to secure good positions. Despite my limited involvement, I was overjoyed. Many of my classmates had given their best, securing top spots. They were the best in my eyes, and I was grateful for their efforts in representing our class.
