Recently the problem of protecting the environment has been brought into focus. With the rapid development of economy, the surroundings of us become severe.
Nowadays PM2.5 and other problems has become a problem we have to see. As is known to us that once the balance in nature is disturbed, it can lead to unpredictable results. Many factors that contribute to it. Firstly, merchants only pay attention to profit. So we should protect the environment and coordinated economic development. Secondly, the cars in China increasingly raise. We all know off gas can pollute air deeply. So we should suggest people that go to work by bike or bus. Thirdly, wasting water and excessively cutting down trees is increasingly common. I think we should suppose environmental protection knowledge. We should spare no effort to protect our environment.
Only in this way can we solve pollution problems. I believe nothing in the world is difficult for one who sets the mind to it.
As is vividly depicted by the drawing above, a boy is sleeping soundly① and comfortably in the sofa, with the television on, when his mother comes and turns off the television for him, blaming the boy for not having turned off the television again②。
This phenomenon can easily be found anywhere in our daily life. Many people are used to doing③everything with the television on, not actually watching it at all. Such a habit can cause waste of much electricity and energy, and result in the emission of carbon. This deviates from the popular concept of “low carbon life” — to reduce the emission of carbon, especially carbon dioxide, to protect our environment and realize sustainable development. According to statistics, if we can decrease the time for having the television on by one hour each day, we can deduce the amount of carbon emission by 4.71 kilogram each month。

A LC day of my life(lc-low carbon)
Today is Saturday. In the morning, i visit my john as i used to . But there is a little difference in my john today. I changed the tank of it to a saving type yesterday, i think it would save four tons’ of water for me every year. However, inspite of this ,i still make lots of pollution. So i plan to reduce my pollution.Suddenly a word jump into my eyes-----“low carbon”. Yeah,LC,the coolest word and the sharpest activity now in our planet,this is what i’m gonna do!
Low carbon means produce less carbon,so not to eat or hiccup is not bad ,but sometimes we can also try to counteract it by other smater ways.Yesterday i added a intellective electricity controller to my lab top ,it can shut the computer down comepletely when you leave.You know,lasting the standby mode for 10 hours will lose the electricity which equals an hours’ normal mode. This rule also apply to other eletrical equipment. Then i find my mp4 charger is still charging . it has been on for one night,12hours! I feel guilty because my mp4’s battery only needs 4hours charging. According to the study of chargers,if everyone did such bad things ,most power plants would be shut down in 24 hours .
In the afternoon i feel like honging out for a while outside. So i go to the local supermarket.i want to buy something for my dinner,i know i don’t need much . but i still try to buy family size . because small goods’ production may be much more wasteful than itself. After shopping ,when i pass the clothes area,i see people buysynthetic fibre clothes ,how i wish them to buy cotton fibre or linen fibre clothes,these fabric are much more environmental and comfortable.
At the evening i log in the web site of Carbon Footprint. I input the number of goods i bought in the supermarket ,then it shows that i’ve discharge 2.82 kg carbon for these goods. Then i decided to pay for my carbon. I pay five yuan for it . these money will used to grow trees and build new energy equipments.
This is my LC day . As a citizen of our world , i will continue my LC creed,and try to be more enviormental . in order to make a better world, i wish everyone can follow me and be LC from now on

In my opinion, to protect environment, the government must take even more concrete measures. First, it should let people fully realize the importance of environmental protection through education. Second, much more efforts should be made to put the population planning policy into practice, because more people means more people means more pollution. Finally, those who destroy the environment intentionally should be severely punished. We should let them know that destroying environment means destroying mankind themselves.
