英文读后感作文篇一:《化身博士》英文读后感

Thanks God, We Have Computer Game Instead

The story of Dr Jekyll is quite famous around the world, however, Dr Jekyll himself is a typical tragic person. He is a kind and wise doctor in front of the public, but might not wise enough to adjust himself. As an old saying goes: every coin has two sides. Dr Jekyll also has his own negative side, which finally become Mr. Hide. Mr. Hide is always hunger for violence, and all the bad things he did tell us that too. People may treat him as a criminal, but to me, he is just unable to find a way to abreact.

It really doesn’t matter if you are a man lives in 19th century or comes from stone age, we are all people, we all have feelings, we all have our own Mr. or Ms Hide, the only question is, can you find a way to maintain your mental health? Maybe we can’t afford to have our own psychological consultant, but we CAN play games to relax ourselves, or realize any wildest dream in this virtual world. Imaging this, once our Dr Jekyll has some evil minds, he can turn to his computer for help. Maybe he can play some action games to satisfy his desire for “passion”, just like people today. Since the video game is always about the adventures of some superheroes, the game will guide him to the daydreaming of everything good but a criminal. As soon as he feels good again, then he will never try to become Mr. Hide in the reality. Maybe you will consider this as a na?ve idea, but computer game does reduce the crime rate in America.

英文读后感作文篇二:《简爱》英文读后感

Oliver Twist, one of the most famous works of Charles Dickens’, is a novel reflecting the tragic fact of the life in Britain in 18th century.

The author who himself was born in a poor family wrote this novel in his twenties with a view to reveal the ugly masks of those cruel criminals and to expose the horror and violence hidden underneath the narrow and dirty streets in London.

The hero of this novel was Oliver Twist, an orphan, who was thrown into a world full of poverty and crime. He suffered enormous pain, such as hunger, thirst, beating and abuse. While reading the tragic experiences of the little Oliver, I was shocked by his sufferings. I felt for the poor boy, but at the same time I detested the evil Fagin and the brutal Bill. To my relief, as was written in all the best stories, the goodness eventually conquered devil and Oliver lived a happy life in the end. One of the plots that attracted me most is that after the theft, little Oliver was allowed to recover in the kind care of Mrs. Maylie and Rose and began a new life. He went for walks with them, or Rose read to him, and he worked hard at his lessons. He felt as if he had left behind forever the world of crime and hardship and poverty.

How can such a little boy who had already suffered oppressive affliction remain pure in body and mind? The reason is the nature of goodness. I think it is the most important information implied in the novel by Dickens-he believed that goodness could conquer every difficulty. Although I don’t think goodness is omnipotent, yet I do believe that those who are kind-hearted live more happily than those who are evil-minded.

For me, the nature of goodness is one of the most necessary character for a person. Goodness is to humans what water is to fish. He who is without goodness is an utterly worthless person. On the contrary, as the famous saying goes, ‘The fragrance always stays in the hand that gives the rose’, he who is with goodness undoubtedly is a happy and useful person. People receiving his help are grateful to him and he also gets gratified from what he has done, and thus he can do good to both the people he has helped and himself.

To my disappointment, nowadays some people seem to doubt the existence of the goodness in humanity. They look down on people’s honesty and kindness, thinking it foolish of people to be warm-hearted. As a result, they show no sympathy to those who are in trouble and seldom offer to help others. On the other hand, they attach importance to money and benefit. In their opinion, money is the only real object while emotions and morality are nihility. If they cannot get profit from showing their ‘kindness’, they draw back when others are faced with trouble and even hit a man when he is down. They are one of the sorts that I really detest.

Francis Bacon said in his essay, ‘Goodness, of all virtues and dignities of the mind, is the greatest, being the character of the Deity, and without it, man is a busy, mischievous, wretched thing, no better than a kind of vermin.’

That is to say a person without goodness is destined to lose everything. Therefore, I, a kind person, want to tell those ‘vermin-to-be’ to learn from the kind Oliver and regain the nature of goodness.

英文读后感作文篇三:《傲慢与偏见》英文读后感

Many people simply regard Pride and Prejudice as a love story, but in my opinion, this book is an illustration of the society at that time. She perfectly reflected the relation between money and marriage at her time and gave the people in her works vivid characters.

The characters have their own personalities. Mrs. Bennet is a woman who makes great efforts to marry off her daughters. Mr. Bingley is a friendly young man, but his friend, Mr. Darcy, is a very proud man who seems to always feel superior. Even the five daughters in Bennet family are very different. Jane is simple, innocent and never speaks evil of others. Elizabeth is a clever girl who always has her own opinion. Mary likes reading classic books. (Actually she is a pedant.) Kitty doesn’t have her own opinion but likes to follow her sister, Lydia. Lydia is a girl who follows exotic things, handsome man, and is somehow a little profligate. When I read the book, I can always find the same personalities in the society now. That is why I think this book is indeed the representative of the society in Britain in the 18th century.

The family of gentleman in the countryside is Jane Austen’s favourite topic. But this little topic can reflect big problems. It concludes the stratum situation and economic relationships in Britain in her century. You can find these from the very beginning of this book.

Austen left this problem for us to think. The genius of Jane Austen lies in this perfect simplicity, the simplicity that reflects big problems. Although Austen was only 21 when she wrote “Pride and Prejudice”, her sharp observation of social lives makes the style of this book surprisingly mature and lively. The plots in her works are always very natural. The development of the plot is as inevitable as a problem in mathematics. I think the depth of Pride and Prejudice is the reason that makes this book prominent and classic. Today, her book still can be the guide telling us the economic relationships both at her time and in modern time.

1.《朝花夕拾》英语读后感范文

"Morning and evening" was originally named "reminiscence of old things". The book is divided into four parts, namely: morning and evening, current affairs essays, rambling on culture and occasional feelings of reading. Every part fascinates me.

Among them, what impresses me most is "morning and evening", because ten essays describe the people and things around Lu Xun that he can't forget, and express the eternal nostalgia for his former relatives, friends and teachers. Mr. Fujino in the book is my favorite article. Because Mr. Fujino has the excellent quality of respecting others and not racial discrimination.

"Current affairs essays" is a fine essay written by Mr. Lu Xun. Some are Mr. Lu Xun's thoughts of some close friends, some are Mr. Lu Xun's chat with us to discuss the knowledge of all corners of the world, and some are to mention some daily trivia. Reading these is like a great writer talking to us.

"Rambling on culture" is some of Mr. Lu Xun's opinions and views, which reveals his precious quality of daring to fight against the dark forces.

"Reading experience" wrote some of Mr. Lu Xun's feelings about reading books, what he should not do in reading, the types of books and the main points of his composition.

"Morning and evening" reveals to us the overall social phenomenon of old China at that time, which was backward and foolish. It also inspires us to cherish the present and better create the future.

2.《朝花夕拾》英语读后感范文

The book morning and evening is one of Lu Xun's representative works and Lu Xun's only collection of essays. This book vividly describes the stories of Lu Xun's childhood and youth.

After reading morning and evening, I was very impressed by the article from BaiCaoYuan to Sanwei bookstore. Reading this article is very enjoyable. The innocence revealed from time to time between the lines makes people see fascinating and vivid pictures from time to time, which describes Lu Xun's character of yearning for freedom and loving nature, as well as Lu Xun's happy and carefree childhood.

Of course, there is also "acid" in the book. "Father's disease" reflects the darkness of this society, and describes the reality that quack doctors mistook people and neglected human life at that time. Many people did everything they could to get money, making people feel the sadness of life. People's hearts are made of meat. Don't you feel ashamed? My father's illness is so serious that quacks still only think about money and cheat people's money under the title of famous doctor, regardless of the safety of patients. It's very mean and shameless!

Mr. Lu Xun said: "on the road of life, drop blood drop by drop to feed others. Although he consciously becomes thin and weak, he also thinks he is happy." This book has made me understand a lot of life philosophy and benefited me a lot.

3.《朝花夕拾》英语读后感范文

During the winter vacation, I read the book morning and evening. This is a collection of Lu Xun's essays, which tells the stories of Lu Xun when he was a child. Reading these stories reminds me of my childhood, with real feelings between the lines.

Lu Xun, formerly known as Zhou Shuren and from Shaoxing, Zhejiang Province, is a great writer, thinker and revolutionary in China and one of the top ten literary giants in the world.

Zhou Fuqing, Lu Xun's grandfather, was the Imperial Academy in the emperor's order, and the whole family was proud of it. But then his grandfather committed a crime, was caught in the capital and sentenced to death. Since then, the Zhou family fell, and Lu Xun's father's illness became more and more serious. From then on, Lu Xun ran back and forth between home, Sanwei bookstore and pawnshop. During this period, Lu Xun also thought that he would never read again, because he thought that his grandfather, father and Mr. Shou of Sanwei bookstore had all read books for a lifetime, but in the end, there was nothing. However, Lu Xun's father hoped that their three brothers could read good books and add glory to the Zhou family in the future. The result really gave him hope. Lu Xun became a great figure, a great writer, thinker and revolutionist, and the main general of China's new culture movement.

4.《朝花夕拾》英语读后感范文

This book is the work of Mr. Lu Xun in his later years, and what is written in this collection of essays is all about Mr. Lu Xun's childhood. In "morning and evening", Lu Xun used a lot of contrast and irony. Reading Mr. Lu Xun's essays on childhood memories, I can't help thinking of my childhood, so real. Suddenly, I was greedy for the taste of childhood. He also realized Mr. Lu Xun's inner love for childhood. It makes me feel very kind and full of passion.

Everyone has his own childhood. In childhood, there are laughter and tears. However, although Lu Xun's childhood also had unpleasant things, he showed a different mentality. When reading Mr. Lu Xun's morning and evening flowers, I feel chatting with Mr. Lu Xun. From Lu Xun's articles, he read plain. Just think that this simple, let the reader feel very cordial. Lu Xun's relaxed and vivid language, reading, you seem to see that person standing in front of you.

Mr. Lu Xun misses all his childhood with sincere feelings.

For the first time, I didn't understand the meaning of the title of the book. Dad said, "morning flowers and evening flowers" refers to picking up flowers in the morning until evening, and people in their later years recall bits and pieces of their childhood.

Lu Xun's childhood memories are like a moving diary. If you turn them inadvertently, you will feel lingered and forget to return.

5.《朝花夕拾》英语读后感范文

In this winter vacation, I read the prose collection "morning flowers and sunset" written by Mr. Lu Xun, which describes Lu Xun's childhood in a fresh, easy, affectionate and soothing style. In his later years, the author recalled his youth, as if the flowers opened in the morning were picked at night. Although they lost their beauty and fragrance when they first opened, the reflection of the sunset added a charm to it, which made people imaginative and had endless aftertaste. I seemed to see Lu Xun in his childhood. Although there were some unpleasant things, he always revealed his naive and brilliant feeling, I watched, lost in thought

I like to recall the past in my spare time, recalling the past bit by bit, as if I had returned to my carefree childhood. One by one unforgettable thing, one by one kind and familiar face, is that I leave all my troubles behind, immerse myself in them and aftertaste

In these long 12 years, many memories have quietly left with the passage of years. Only the growth footprints recording their gains and losses will remain in the memory forever. Childhood is like coffee. It is rich and delicious. When you taste it carefully, it is very bitter, but there is some sweetness in the bitterness, but it has endless aftertaste.

Those trivial memories of childhood are like an unforgettable diary. If you turn them inadvertently, you will feel lingered. When we are free, we might as well taste this cup of coffee and turn over this "diary" of growth, and you will find that you have matured a lot.

【格列佛游记英文读后感:篇一】

One of the most interesting questions about Gulliver’s Travels is whether the Houyhnhnms represent an ideal of rationality or whether on the other hand they are the butt of Swift's satire. In other words, in Book IV, is Swift poking fun at the talking horses or does he intend for us to take them seriously as the proper way to act? If we look closely at the way that the Houyhnhnms act, we can see that in fact Swift does not take them seriously: he uses them to show the dangers of pride.

Swifts satire of the Houyhnhnms comes out in other ways as well. One of the most memorable scenes is when the dapple grey mare attempts to woo the horse that Guinevere has brought with him to the island. First she acts flirtatiously, parading around the bewildered horse. But when this does not have the desired effect, she gets another idea: "As I watched in amazement from my perch in the top of a tree, the sorrel nag dashed off and returned with a yahoo on her back that was yet more monstrous than Mr. Pope being fitted by a clothier. She dropped this creature before my nag as if offering up a sacrifice. My horse sniffed the creature and turned away." It might seem that we should take this scene seriously as a failed attempt at courtship, and that consequently we should see the grey mare as an unrequited lover. But it makes more sense if we see that Swift is being satiric here: it is the female Houyhnhnm who makes the move, which would not have happened in eighteenth-century England. The Huynh is being prideful, and it is that pride that makes him unable to impress Gulliver’s horse. Gulliver imagines the horse saying, Blood, the notion of creating the bare backed beast with an animal that had held Mr. Pope on her back makes me queasy.

A final indication that the Houyhnmns are not meant to be taken seriously occurs when the leader of the Houynhms visits Lilliput, where he visits the French Royal Society. He goes into a room in which a scientist is trying to turn wine into water (itself a prideful act that refers to the marriage at Galilee). The scientist has been working hard at the experiment for many years without success, when the Houyhnmn arrives and immediately knows that to do: "The creature no sooner stepped through the doorway than he struck upon a plan. Slurping up all the wine in sight, he quickly made water in a bucket that sat near the door" .

He has accomplished the scientist’s goal, but the scientist is not happy, for his livelihood has now been destroyed. Swifts clear implication is that even though the Houyhnhmns are smart, they do not know how to use that knowledge for the benefit of society, only for their own prideful aggrandizement.

Throughout Gulliver Travels, the Huynh’s are shown to be an ideal gone wrong. Though their intent might have been good, they don't know how to do what they want to do because they are filled with pride. They mislead Gulliver and they even mislead themselves. The satire on them is particularly well explained by the new born Huynh who, having just been born, exclaims, "With this sort of entrance, what must I expect from the rest of my life!" .

【格列佛游记英文读后感:篇二】

I read the British writer Jonathan swift's Gulliver’s travels, novels by bitter ironies and humor, extraordinary imagination and exaggeration, describes the fond of sailing adventure Gulliver, four degrees to travel around the world, experienced greatly small breathtaking and interesting adventures.

"When bending my eyes downward as much as I could, I perceived a human not six inches high!"

When Lempel Gulliver sets off from London on a sea voyage, little does he know the many incredible and unbelievable misadventures awaiting him? Shipwrecked at sea and nearly drowned, he washes ashore upon an exotic island called Lilliput-where the people are only six inches tall! Next he visits a land of incredible giants called Brobdingnagians. They are more than sixty feet tall! He travels to Laputa, a city that floats in the sky, and to Glubbdubdrib, the Island of Sorcerers. His final voyage brings him into contact with the Yahoos-a brutish race of sub humans-and an intelligent and virtuous race of horse, the Houyhnhnms.

First published in 1726, Gulliver’s Travels remains one of the most exciting fantasy adventures ever written.

【格列佛游记英文读后感:篇五】

Long vacation, I read the British writer Jonathan • swift's "Gulliver's Travels." Spicy Irony and Humor novel, bizarre imagination and exaggeration, to describe very fond of nautical adventure Gulliver, everywhere around the world, has experienced large and small, thrilling and interesting adventure.

Travels in Brobdingnag, the bizarre story of Lilliput deeply attracted me, but to me the deepest impression in 1710 Gulliver rafting in North America, a chance encounter on a desert island Hue from country to country, met with kindness, honesty and virtue King Hue of the story from country to country.Hui from country to country in the language did not "lie" and "deceit" in such words, people do not understand their meaning. They did not know what is "suspect”, what is the "no confidence." In their country, the all are real and transparent.

I am very envious of Gulliver hopes to have the luck to Hue from country to country, where it is we seek and yearn for the ideal situation, where you do not need to worry about other people to speak true. But in reality, it was with sweet words to cheat other people's hard-earned money; was trafficking in children from making excessive profits; it was even money in order to abandon their birth parents ......No wonder, our teachers, elders from childhood on education we have to remain vigilant, carefully taken deceived.

I also look forward to the day when our society can be like the Hue from country to country, as the children's eyes no longer have doubts about, education and the reality is unified. I would like for this effort, I hope you will join, from what I start, start from the side so that the society a little more sincere and less hypocritical

【格列佛游记英文读后感:篇六】

The novel by the pungent satire and humorous, the strange imagination and the exaggeration, Gulliver who the description is very fond of the navigation risk, travels around the world in all directions, has experienced every large or small thrilling and the interesting fortuitous encounter.

In travel notes adult the country, Lilliput’s strange story has attracted me deeply, however the impression deepest in 1710 Gulliver went boating North America for me, on the chance encounter desert island brightly because of the country, knew had, the honest moral excellence benevolently brightly because of the country king's story. Does not have because in bright country's language “to lie” and “the deceit” such inscription, the people do not understand their meaning. They do not understand anything are “suspect”, anything is “does not trust”. In theirs state, all are real, transparent.

I envy Gulliver to be able very much to arrive fortunately brightly because of the country, where is the ideal region which we pursue and yearned for, does not need to worry others speech in here you the genuine and fake. But in the realistic society, some people swindles others' hard-earned money with the honeyed words; Some people kidnap and sell the child to seek the sudden and huge profits; Some people even abandon their for the money birth parents .No wonder, our teacher, the elder since childhood educates us to want to enhance vigilance, carefully is deceived.

I was also hoping the one day of our society also to be able to look like brightly because of country such, in children's eye no longer has the anxiety, the education and the reality is unified. I hope for this reason diligently, also hopes everybody same place, starts from me, starts from the side, lets this social many spots be sincere, the few spot is false.

《鲁滨逊漂流记》书评

This is a novel by the English author Daniel Defoe, published in 1719. It is one of the most popular adventure novels in all literature. It is the story of Bobinson Crusoe, an Englishman who is shipwrecked in a lonely tropical island. He builds himself a hut, grows his own food, and becomes self-sufficient. After 23 years he meets with a group of cannibals and rescues one of their prisoners, a young native whome he calls Friday.Crusoe and his“man”Friday become close friends, and when they are finally rescued four years later, both return to England.

Robinson Crusoe was partly based on the actual deeds of Alexander Selkirk, an 18th-century Scottish sailor who spent almost five years alone on a desert island. This novel is famous for its lovely details and its expression of belief in man's ability when left alone in nature.
